Antique Magic "The National Recording Bank" Dime Bank. Patent Apl. 7, 91 . 6 1/2 by 7 1/4 inches. This vintage mechanical bank only accepts dimes that are inserted into a slot in the back. A lever is then pushed, the dime falls into the bank and the 10 cents is added to the total shown in the window to the left. The trap will open when a certain amount is reached. I am not sure what that amount is, and as the trap is not quite tight, the dimes tend to fall out anyway. The Adding Mechanism works at times but is erratic. Marked in front with "DIME RECORDING BANK" and on the reverse, "THE NATIONAL RECORDING BANK / PATENTED APL. 7, 91" and "Magic Trade Mark Introduction New York"
