I am pleased to offer this Antique 1879 J.E. Stevens "Always Did 'Spise A Mule" Cast Iron Mechanical Bank! This original bank is quite hilarious! Powered by an exceptional spring mechanism, the mule A slight tug of the knob on the base causes the mule to kick and throw the rider over his head and deposit the coin in the bank! The top of the bank reads in raised lettering "Always Did 'Spise A Mule". Missing coin trap. This Antique J.E. Stevens Cast Iron Mechanical Bank is in great condition for its age, showing some mild paint loss across the pieces. The Paint is faded from age but really very good. The piece has a fantastic amount of the original paint left. The mechanical aspect of the bank works flawlessly.
