Rare Large Scale 1886 BENZ PATENT MOTORWAGEN by Franklin Mint. Impressive 1:8 scale. Issued in 1992. Superior detailing. Large spoked wheels. Beautifully detailed engine and Working Mechanicals DIECAST MODEL CAR By Franklin Mint . This is a working model with a moveable engine connected to the mechanicals that actually turns the rear drive wheel. The steering Mechanism also mechanically turns the front wheel.
Rubber tires.Made of diecast metal. Detailed exterior, interior.Approximate dimensions: L-13" H-7" W-6.75". NO BOX. Mint but a little dusty.
The first Motorwagen used the Benz 954 cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine. This new engine produced ⅔ hp (½ kW) at 250 rpm in the Patent-Motorwagen. It was an extremely light engine for the time, weighing about 100 kg (220 lb).
