Antique Mechanical Cast Iron Eagle & Eaglets Bank. By J. & E. Stevens, circa 1883; eagle has beaded glass eyes & stands on the ground beside its nest with 2 eaglets in the nest, when the snake lever is pressed the eagle spreads its wings and leans forward dropping the coin into the nest for the animated eaglets. In excellent working condition, Retains much of its original though it has faded over the years. No breaks or repairs. 6.25 in. high x 8 in. wide x 4 in. deep. Coin Trap is Present. Marked on Bottom "PATJAN23 1883. sch 020 033019
